French term or phrase: à la fin de l'assujettissement
On a tax return:

"Situation personnelle, professionnelle et familiale au 31 decembre 2007 ou à la fin de l'assujettissement."

"Assujettissement" is normally translated as liability but in the context I wonder if this phrase could be translated as "at the end of the tax period"

Any other ideas?

agree  Nikki Scott-Despaigne: It is essential to have the word "liability" in there. It is not enough to say" the tax period" as it is ambiguous. The liability is anything but... unfortunately.
