French to English translations [PRO]
Law/Patents - Law (general) / Retirement pension schemes
French term or phrase: code de deontologie dans le domaine de la prevoyance professionelle
It's not so much the meaning I am wondering about as a straightforward translation gives that (Code of ethics for the field of retirement pension provision schemes) - more a case of whether there is a more concise, better-sounding translation. I was thinking of ditching the 'dans le domaine de' and simply saying: 'Code of ethics for retirement pension provision schemes' - but that seems to lose something, as it is referring to the organisations that handle them also, not just the schemes themselves. I also thought of using the word 'sector' - as in '....... for the retirement pension provision schemes sector' - but this still sounds awkward. This is a specifically Swiss thing (well, in this case, anyway) and there are links on the web in French and German, but I have yet to find anything in English. It appears that there is also a body called the 'fondation Code de deontologie dans le domaine de la prevoyance professionnelle' (which is responsible for drafting/overseeing the regulations) so I want to get it right.

Has anyone come across this before?

English translation:code of ethics (good practice) for retirement provision
Explanation:
It's shorter and because of that, it might have the level of generalness you want. You might even like to swap it over eg.:

Retirement provision code of ethics.

We also have things like "gold standards" or "best practices" that might be worth a pop here.

agree  rkillings: Or code of conduct/code of practice. But prévoyance is usually more than just provision of retirement income, and in some cases not event that. Can you tell from context?
