Bus/Financial - Law (general)
French term or phrase: Maison de Justice
Hi

I was wondering if I should translate "Maison de Justice"? There is not much context - it features in the name of a government department which is invitings calls for tender for a contract (Direction générale des maisons de Justice)

Thanks

Explanation:
I got this translation from IATE. If I've understood it correctly, it's a local alternative to a courthouse - legal officials work there, you can go there for legal advice, and it also offers arbitration services.

Reference information:
It may a little more complicated and specific to Belgium:

http://www.just.fgov.be/index_fr.htm

My impression is the IATE refers to the French System.

I would keep it as such and explain it. There is no translation or English version of Maison de Justice (at SPF Justice - Belgium) or I have not found it yet. I mean an official translation of the term. Perhaps House of Justice or House of Law...
