French to English translations [PRO]
Law/Patents - Law (general) / Belgian probate - Power of Attorney
French term or phrase: laisser tous objets en commun
In a Belgian Procuration pour liquidation de succession into BrE.

recevoir ou payer toutes soultes ou stipuler tous délais de paiement, *laisser tous objets en commun*, donner tous pouvoirs pour les administrer et recouvrer

I’m not convinced by the previous ProZ answer about relinquishing or refusing to accept objects that used to be held jointly as the context goes on to talk of administering and recovering them. How the term parses or translates into Flemish/Dutch would be a start. http://www.proz.com/kudoz/french_to_english/law:_contracts/1...

Leave all commonly-owned objects also sounds an odd thing for the Attorney-in-Fact/mandataire to do when dealing with a deceased couple's estate: http://www.proz.com/kudoz/french_to_english/law_general/1989...

Explanation:
I think this is saying that the lawyer can decide to leave jointly-owned property as such, rather than to sever ownership and incur (possibly) higher inheritance tax.

Asker: The two children as beneficiaries are the Mandants/Principals or Donors of the Power appointing their mother as the widow of the deceased Attorney-in-Fact and not at-Law. I take your community vs. severance of the joint tenancy point.
