from/ref./cf. the recorded minutes of the School of Medicine and Pharmacology Explanation: "Vu" is a really tricky one to translate, and has been much discussed in KudoZ. The general conclusion is that this is a word used to refer the reader to the documents in question. That is: "from the minutes..." or "ref. the minues..." or "cf. the minutes..." I wish I had more context, because it could also indicate that a conclusion or a subsequent action is "based on" previous statements/documents/actions (such as something decided during a meeting and duly recorded in the minutes of the meeting); I would rather doubt, however, that anyone would be basing a further action on the document per se. I would expect, instead, to see mention of a specific minuted decision. This is usually rendered as "minutes" in English. Besides, that is what the records of academic meetings are generally called... Reference: http://www.termium.com KudoZ |

Subsequent to the report drawn up by the Faculty of Medicine & Pharmacology... Explanation: Procès-verbal : report (plus général), minutes (s'il s'agit vraiment d'un rapport de réunion). 'Statement' may also work. Vous avez du choix aussi avec "vu" : - in view of - by virtue of - under the terms of (pourquoi pas?) - subsequent to - according to - in accordance with A vous de jouer, Nikki |
