Could this mean something like head hunting? The firm is a very large international technology company.

The one other use of this term is in a pie chart which describes the number of recruits hired using each of several methods last year:

Vendor 1
CDD 5
Chasse 36
Cooptation 28
Interim 7
Spontanee 4
Transfer 9
Annonce 10
Stage 2

head hunting
Explanation:
The company want to get a better balance between (very expensive) head-hunting and (somewhat less-expensive) standard job-advertising.
But I don't know if this is the 'official' expression in HR circles!

Both suggestions being identical, I went for mediamatrix´s because of the extra explanation given to explain the full sentence, which is always very helpful. Thanks to Yves also.

head hunting

Explanation:
Dans le cadre du recrutement, je ne pense pas que "chasse" ait une autre signification. De plus, dans une grande entreprise, cela "doit" certainement apparaître.
