je ne pense pas que initialiser ait été mis en lieu et place de *initier*
initier = Amorcer, engager, mettre en œuvre la phase initiale d'un processus qui correspondrait bien à la proposition de "launch"
Le "suivi " permet une "paramétrisation" d'une liste en question
initialiser une liste serait lancer une "instance" de cette liste avec certains paramètres de départ
je ne sais pas si je suis très claire :(
