Hainaut centres of excellence
Explanation:
Hennuyer is the adjective corresponding to le Hainaut, one of the 10 Belgian provinces. Le Hainaut is fairly backward economically, and attracted quite a bit of EU Objective One money. It was decided to devote some of that money to the development of "Pôles d'excellence", research centres with spin-off possibilities in mainly Hi-tech fields. Le centre d'excelelnce coordinates the work of these research centres and the local universities.
