My understanding would be that it is either a long-term, continuous assessment; or simply, that it hasn't been finished yet. I assume your own researches will tell you a lot more about the actual activity itself and, with any luck, its timeline!
Well, I guess 'interim' depends on whether it has finished (for the moment), or whether it is indeed some kind of ongoing process. My gut feeling from the Latin is that it does indeed mean 'in progress', but we all know how such expressions have been twisted around over the years ;-) |
