French to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Management / construction management
French term or phrase: entreprise
Context: dispute over delays on a hotel renovation-extension program. In regard to construction sites, I'm tempted to simply use 'contractors' for 'entreprises' because that's what experience tells me they're called. What do you all say?

Example:

"Le Directeur Général a été contraint de tenter de combiner au mieux travaux et exploitation en traitant directement avec les entreprises, faute d'information d[u maître d'oeuvre] et en l'absence d'autres interlocteurs désignés par [le maître d'oeuvre] maîtrisant le déroulement des travaux."
