French term or phrase: cadencement
'Nous effectuons ainsi un contrôle qualité, pour chaque cadencement, sur le site de production.'

I often have trouble translating this word, but in this context, it seems to be poorly used. Are they perhaps using it to mean 'batch' in this context?

This is a company that helps companies outsource their manufacturing to China. They audit the potential suppliers, launch a call for tenders, etc. I wonder whether they would be so thorough as to perform a quality check on every batch??! If not, what could this mean?

scheduled delivery/shipment
Explanation:
This is what it usually means in my experience. Usually the customer would set up a desired schedule of shipment (say over several months) and each shipment would be the 'cadencement'. The idea is a regular, planned schedule. There is nothing unusual about having quality control on each batch/shipment/delivery. It's quite necessary actually when outsourcing to China...

agree Charles Hawtrey: 'shipment' seems likely - it could be a container-load of children's toys rather than a packet per day.

each production batch /each produced batch

Explanation:
cadencement = le rythme auquel quelque chose se produit/est produit

It can be a number of things but since this involves a quality control check which can only be done on the production itself I believe that it refers to the production.
