Jeffrey Lewis: 2:36am Jul 16, 2006: I think Rob is closest here, but "un service client" is never trained to just cast blame on others. Is there any other concrete indication of the disliked behavior?

they make life difficult for others
Explanation:
Without context it's difficult to be more precise. For example, this could mean that the customer service agents take the easy option of blaming other departments for things that have gone wrong, rather than taking responsibility and addressing the issue.

they talk badly of others

Explanation:
Just from your sentence it is not possible to know if 'others' means colleagues or competition, it could be both.

it is usually done by poeple who do not want to recognise their own fault, failure, or mistakes.

Hope this helps.

agree Fabb: would be my choice too, but in french, it is further more than just talking badly, need to emphasize more "harsh" side of it, "tirer dans les pattes de quelqu'un" is somehow like " backstabbing" in english...in a french slang way
