Bus/Financial - Marketing / Market Research / company presentation
French term or phrase: variabiliser
From a presentation about a company accompanying a new plant proposal:

Can anyone think of a neat way of saying this?. When I googled the term, translator's café came up with "variabilise" in English, but with only 200 or so ghits, I'm very doubtful about that....

Many thanks

to classify a great deal of its costs as variable (variabilize)
Explanation:
Hello,

You can indeed say "variabilize" in English."

Meaning:

variabiliser = to consider/classify costs as variable (not fixed or changing fixed)

This helps a company to remain efficient and flexible should it experience a downward trend in sales.

I hope this helps.
