French to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.) / natural materials
French term or phrase: paille cellulo
This is a natural material that can be used to cover various indoor furnishings, walls, partitions, bed heads, etc.
It can also be used for rolling blinds.

I know what it is. I've even seen it before, but I don't know what the English is.

My original stab was basketweave straw, but I'm still not sure.

If anyone has a little time to do some research. I'd much appreciate it.

cellulose de paille =straw cellulose.

neutral  B D Finch: The English on that website is pretty poor and the only ghits for "cellulo straw" are that and another French company, i.e. both translations from French.

jute or burlap


Explanation:
I checked a few websites for natural wall coverings. This seems to be the only fabric which can do all the things you mention.

"Jute - is commonly known as Gunny, Burlap and Hessian. Only certain geographic regions can product a high grade, durable jute fiber."

neutral  SJLD: jute fibre comes from the jute plant - the "paille cellulo" is produced by spinning cellulose fibre that comes from wood pulp
