French to English translations [PRO]
Science - Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.) / duct/cable laying
French term or phrase: liseret
I think I know what they are (longitudinal striping colour code?), but liserets can also be trim, circular etc.

agree  Tony M: Given that these are sleeves, i.e. relatively short lengths of tubing, I think 'edging' round each end would make more sense; though I admit I don't have specific knowledge of this term.

agree  Catharine Cellier-Smart: Definitely. My company used to make "tubes à liseret" and I can confirm that it is a horizontal stripe. In spoken language most French will just say "tube à bande XXX", where XXX stands for the colour.
