French to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.) / wooden flooring
French term or phrase: lames jointives
"Revêtement de sol stratifié
Aspect structuré
Lames jointives
Idéal pour pièces à faible passage, hors pièces humides
Pose flottante sans colle - à clipser dans la longueur
Compatibilité chauffage au sol basse température
Entretien facile"

Done a bit of research on this , even had a look in B&Q! I have something along the lines of butt-jointed or end-jointed strips

any thoughts please?

English translation:clip-together...
Explanation:
Although not actually a literal translation, is probably the best way to actually render the description.

please note that these are not, strictly speaking, 'planks' — they might at a pinch be described as 'panels'; I think 'strip is equally misleading, since each 'lame' usually corresponds to about 3 actual flooring 'strips' — this type of flooring is quite different from traditional 'strip' flooring

louvres

Explanation:
Just from an image search. Seems to bring up the slatted wood type doors (maybe louvres isn't the right word, I'm useless at DIY!

disagree  Tony M: Not here, this is about flooring, and 'louvres' wouldn't apply.
