Les trois principaux résultats ont montré :
• Une augmentation significative (p<0,01) de la circonférence de cuisse du côté non massé contrairement au côté massé. Cette augmentation de volume est le reflet de l’œdème consécutif au travail excentrique. Le massage a limité son apparition du côté massé ; le périmètre de la cuisse a été mesuré grâce à un mètre ruban couplé à un dynamomètre afin d’éviter la compression des masses musculaires lors de la mesure.
• Une douleur à la contraction (maximale à J2) significativement moins importante (p<0,01) du côté massé, ceci étant probablement lié à l’absence d’œdème ; cette douleur a été évaluée grâce à une échelle analogique visuelle graduée de 0 à 10.
