Might be worth some research ? rkillings: 6:26pm Oct 17, 2007: IMO this one is just begging to be "horizontal analysis", in contrast to the vertical. Both adjectives are strictly metaphorical.

| Note from asker to answereram still unsure of the right term. here is a definition for cross sectional (Cross-sectional: Referring to the same point in time. Cross-sectional analysis is analysis using data from the same point in time (static analysis).
