It rather depends what they're on about. If this is a discussion of fluid dynamics over a lifting surface, eg a wing, then "soufflage" and "aspiration" could be referring to blowing or sucking air over or from slots or perforations in the wing (both established methods of lift and/or drag control).

soufflage ou aspiration would seem to suggest so. Possibly relèvement could refer to raising of water, as in station de relèvement, though I cannot say I can fit this interpretation into the sentence!

Bourth, hello... hmmm, could be, could be.....
Here is a fragment of the text (equations and stuff zzzzzz ed out)... it is in a section where they're firing off ideas about future research... in the main body of the paper its a LOT of mathematical models but SOME experimental verification, observation and stuff.

"A l'aide d'un relèvement, on peut traiter aussi le cas d'un contrôle pariétal du champ de base : xxxxxxxxxxx. Ici yyyyyyyyy désigne la modification des conditions de Dirichlet à la paroi
qui s'impose au champ de base zzzzzzzz.
Dans ce cas la sensibilité aaaaaaaa de la valeur singulière par rapport à la modification du champ de vitesse à la paroi (soufflage ou aspiration stationnaire) est définie selon :...... blah blah"

Have they got a physical model in a wind tunnel/water? Even if not, but purely mathematical models, might it be that they raise the model or change it's angle of incidence? This could facilitate calculation of surface flow conditions maybe? Does "pariétal" refer to an object in the air/water flow or to the walls/boundaries of the simulation, etc. etc.?

pressure measurements? mostly they're talking about eigenvalues! yes, "reading", but I think that is a bit too light ! the text is quite theoretical (although they do mention experiments) so even plot doesn't convince me too much.

More generally, a relèvement is just a "reading", eg off a graph or instrument. "Plot" may be too specific. Parietal is an odd use, referring usually to biological "walls", but if the context is fluid mechanics, could be referring to boundary effects (which are very important). Are they talking about pressure measurements?

but plot seems good, or maybe 'by plotting bearings', or 'by plotting points'? My dictionary gives 'magnetic/compass bearing' as the translation for 'relèvement'...
