Explanation:
In this case, each period is a data point (whereas the 'study period' would be the entire length of the time series). Usually each data point would be called "time n" in English. You could consider dropping the 'period' vocabulary in translation: it makes sense only because consumption is a flow and can be measured only over an interval of time, but it could be confused with the period of the time series (as opposed to the periodicity of observation).
