French term or phrase: selon une cotation de 0 à 9 (de nul à important)
This is in the context of product testing, where results are measured on a scale from 0 to 9. I assume that 'de nul a important' means that 0 is the lowest ranking and 9 is the highest ranking - but can anyone confirm that for me?

Explanation:
In my opinion, the biggest problem here is deciding which terms to use, depending on what is being rated.

'zero' could work for some things — things that might be measured numerically, for a start, but also things that might be quantified otherwise, like "how many times did the device break down while you were using it?"
or "did you experience any difficulty understanding the instructions?" However, for other types of questions, you might need to adapt the word used, and it may not be possible to find one single word in EN which will work for all situations.

Likewise for 'important' — there are almost as many possible translations as there might be questions, so now that you have the general idea, you'll have to adapt it, possibly use different words for the anwers to different questions.

Apologies for my error, of course it should be 0–9!

disagree  Tony M: 'nihil' would be quite inappropriate in this context and register. 'important' may or may not be a faux ami here.

agree  BrigitteHilgner: I would write "from 0 - 9", but admittedly that suggestion is based in market research experience.

-> Thanks, Brigitte! I've seen both, it's true.

agree  chris collister: 0 to 9 rather than 0 to 10, the former having 10 categories, the latter 11, which is irrational IMO. "zero to huge"?

-> Thanks, Chris! Oops, yes, my slip! I somehow think 'huge' would be very restricted in use, but who knows?

agree  1045: I like (1) scale and (2) 0 to 10 ...

-> Merci, J-C ! However, '10' is a clear error, I made a slip and of course it should have been '9'
