In practice, a slicker way of expressing it would probably be 'EMC cable gland', which is probably accurate and not stretching any points too far... (see c. 500 Googles if you don't believe me)

EMC = ElectroMagnetic Compatibility --- the science of getting things so they work together OK without interference!

  -> Thanks, Mactrad! Most kind! It's a weirdly old-fashioned sounding word in a modern use, isn't it? And I always think of it as 'presse-taupe', all those poor little squashed moles :-)
