The above phrase is taken from the text below that features in an assembly manual for public transport seats. Can't seem to find any relevant sources so if anyone has ideas, they'll be welcomed :) TIA

Le montage et démontage de la housse nécessite préalable la dépose de l’assise.

10-1) DEMONTAGE

- Décrocher du ruban agrippant les 4 cotés de l’assise.
- Couper les 13 agrafes nez de porc placées sous les rappels de garnissage en commençant par l’arrière de l’assise.
- Enlever la housse.

According to the description on this website (http://browse.uk-plc.net/Companies/2012_Marine__-_Specialist... : "Hog rings are those large looped staples that attach seat covers to metal frames.", so that definitely seems to fit your context!

neutral  Alanguelaise: I'm not sure that wide-crown staples are exactly the same thing, as on all the images I've found of them they have parallel sides, whereas on the "agrafe nez de porc" the sides slant inwards. I could be wrong, though...
