French to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Mechanics / Mech Engineering / compression station | | French term or phrase: bridé | This word crops up twice in the following text and I would appreciate any help.
The paragraph is:
Système de tenue
Torque bridée et lignes de vent pour système à gaz de tenue
Système de l'air bridé
The glossary I have been supplied with gives clamped but I have my doubts.
In this case is bridé(e) not restricted ?
TIA, any help appreciated |

| | restricted / limited | Explanation: Sure it is the torque which is bridé, not a flange.
Take heart because the rest of the sentence is not that good French

but then torque bridée might be more than just a spelling mistake, torque is masculine so torque bridé is correct. There might be a word missing, flasque de torque bridée ?
And personnaly I am wondering what is a ligne de vent or système à gaz de tenue. What the glossary says about these ? I would be most interested to know, if you have the time to tell. |
