In this case it seems they use both the tipping function AND compressed air. Imagine compressed air is also a security function to void the tank of potentially explosive grain dust, etc.

Tilting tank


Explanation:
I assume some tanker lorries have a tilting mechanism to extract the last drop/grain from the rear end.
