"Le logement de réception se repose sur la partie horizontale du siège de support. Un orifice traversant est ménagé de la gauche vers la droite dans l’épaisseur de la partie horizontale du siège de support, à proximité du bord amont de la partie horizontale. Les parois latérales (gauche et droite) de la jupe du socle de dissimulation comprennent chacune un orifice traversant, les orifices du socle et du siège de support sont traversés par une tige qui est verrouillée à ses extrémité par des bagues anti-translation."

I had this in the discussion section, but am giving it as an answer, based on what I found on google in patent descriptions of mechanical mechanisms (not for steering columns, but the mechanism may be found in other places):

"Anti-translation" is used in English in a description of a downhole assembly device here:

17. The apparatus of claim 15 wherein the first interlocking mechanism includes an anti-translation mechanism reacting against an anti-rotation mechanism of the second interlocking mechanism.
