destination control unit
Explanation:
Could it be as simple as that?

I did also wonder about 'routing unit'?

I wondered that too, but thinking about it with a different kind of logic: you wouldn't actually 'control' a 'destination', would you? You'd actaully control to which destination things are sent — I'm assuming this is about baggage routing?

The other thing, I did just wonder if it mightn't have been meant to be 'BC à destination de [sthg]', with the 'de sthg' bit being missing; however, we'd better not start off by assuming an error ;-)

Look, here's just one ref. I found (albeit not a very good one!) that specifically mentions baggage-handling destination control:

Rahul Kadam - LinkedIn

India - Sr Software Specialist at Patni Computer Systems
Project / Client Baggage handling system./ Siemens Project details: The project is for the baggage destination control system for the Munich airport. ...

Notes to answerer
Asker: thanks. Same thought occurred to me, but but but... shouldn't it then be "BC de destination"?... seems to be half-way between "BC de destination" and "BC à distance" (i.e. a typo)

Asker: Excellent, got to be the thing. I see where you're coming from semantically with "à destination": control unit concerned with destination. The FR still sounds rather strange to my ears: I want to know where this control unit is headed!

disagree  Tony M: Meaningless in English, I'm afraid. / Not enough space here, but your use of 'destined' and 'destination' simply doesn't work in EN here.
