| 3. Utility units, OGE 1100.000 test bench configuration: main gearbox unit is fitted with ...
Explanation: Well Gregory, it's a sticky one.
"organes" in this case are "units or devices"
"servitude" = "utility"
Source: very reliable mechanical engineering glossary
I have notice "banc" is often used as a shortened version of "banc d'essai" = "test bench/bed"
HES = hors effet sol
OGE = out of ground-effect
Source: EURODICAUTOM
BUT there is also a type of turbo-reactor called the HeS ??? Couldn't find any reference on the net to HES 1100.000 !
GOOD LUCK

| Organes de servitude, configuration du banc HES 1100.000: GSE, configuration of GPU HES 1100.000
Explanation: The following references are from "Aerospace Dictionary" (Gauthier-Villards éd.) and from the "Dictionnaire de l'Aéronautique & l'Espace" (the "Goursau), and from Eurodicautom.
The "servitudes" are "ancillary services" (usually ground services) which deliver hydraulic and electrical power, oil, air, gas (nitrogen, oxygen, whatever)to an A/C on ground. You can see them on airports, they are carts stationed under the A/C and connected with cables to the A/C. They are used to supply the A/C with various materials.
The standard term is "GSE" (ground support equipment), check for instance Eurodicautom :
(1) ABBREV GSE
Reference Multilingual Aeronautical Dictionary(AGARD,1980)
(2) TERM ground support equipment
Reference Multilingual Aeronautical Dictionary(AGARD,1980)
In my paper dics, I have :
servitudes = ancillary services (systems), ancillaries
servitudes au sol = ground support/ground servicing equipment, ground ancillary systems, ground handling services
servitudes de bord = on-board utility
servitudes hydrauliques = hydraulic services
But the standard term is GSE and includes all of the above equipment.
Banc HES 1100.000 : this is one of the "servitudes", it is an automotive or towed unit.
If electrical or hydraulic, this will be called a "ground power unit/cart" (GPU), or "external ground power unit".
You have for instance the "banc Skydrol" (oil), that is called "hydraulic cart for Skydrol" (in the Goursau).
But I know from experience from AMM (A/C maintenance manuals) this is called a GPU.
I checked the Dassault dic. (http://www.dassault-aviation.com/gb/outils/traducteur_result...) and found:
LINE TEST BENCH/RACK BANC DE SERVITUDE
Mât rotor principal = main rotor shaft
