The camshaft is driven by a stepper-motor and reduction gearbox assembly via a toothed belt.

the '...en rotation...' is redundant, and in fact, 'réducteur' could usuaully be assumed to be a step DOWN gearbox, so the 'reduction' COULD be left out too unless critical.
'toothed' is probably the more usual expression for this type of belt.

The important point is that the combination of stepper motor + gear drive + toothed belt means that no slippage is possible, which can be a vital point where timing relationships are concerned (think of timing belt on car engine!)

This is what I've arrived at, with a little help from Eurodicautom for moteur pas à pas and courroie crantée.

I'm sure there are variations on the "phrase stepper motor - gear reduction unit". "Stepper motor reducer" is perhaps a shorter version of the same term.
