French term or phrase: rondelle
I don't think this means "washer" in this context, and if it does could someone explain.

From a musician's exclusive recording contract, at near the end where it talks about the fight against piracy etc.:

"Ces supports devront être protégés (watermarking et/ou cactus et/ou toute autre technologie de protection) et porter la mention suivante (sur la rondelle et le boîtier du support): "Ce support est à usage promotionnel uniquement"."

"Ces supports" refer to "supports promotionnels, CDR, DAT, CD, etc." mentioned in the line above.

Anyone any idea what the "rondelle" of a CD Rom might be? "boitier" is obviously case. I toyed with the idea of "spool" for a while, but really am at a loss

agree  Just Opera: the label, sometimes they can be created on a printer then stuck on

  -> Thanks. My singer/songxwriter hubby sticks labels on his CDs. I would imagine a similar process is always performed, even if it is more like fusion than sticking

agree  LaraBarnett: I would say CD Label but sticker is still understood here.

agree  Philippa: Or "disc". Yes, I think it just means both the disc and box need to have the "mention"
2 mins
  -> Thanks Philippa

agree  B D Finch: Though it is the CD label, as this is likely to be printed directly on the CD, I think "label" is probably superfluous.

  -> Thanks B D Finch..

agree  Layla de Chabot: I think this is what it means, somewhat like vinyl records used to be named "galettes"...

CD/DVD inner most part of disc

Explanation:
I think this refers to the inner most part of the disc, the part that remains clear after printing, and where markings are often visible
