Probably a fairly basic question for all your medical experts but I just want to be sure I'm using the right terminology for this context. How would you translate the occurences of "biologie" in the following text? Many thanks!

BIOLOGIE
Les examens biologiques prélevés à mon cabinet le 4 janvier 2007 montre essentiellement une hypercholestérolémie à 2,64 grammes par litre avec un LDL cholestérol à 1,89 gramme par litre et un HDL cholestérol à 0,59 gramme par litre. Le reste de la biologie est normal.

Explanation:
The word "biology" is a faux ami in the medical context of laboratory testing.
A clinical pathologist who specializes in laboratory medicine in English is a "biologiste des hôpitaux", etc.. The word "biology" just does not enter the clinical medical field in this context.

Explanation:
I tend to use one of the above options when referring to the tests or results. It can refer to any tests done in haematology, biochemistry, or microbiology labs, etc. I worked in hospital labs in the UK for several years, and we tended to refer to the results from each lab individually, eg his haemtology is normal, but in France they tend to lump them together as "biologie". We never used the word "biology" in the context of medical labs. We were called medical laboratory scientific officers, rather than "biologistes", so when it refers to the lab or specialty itself, I say medical laboratory sciences.

In your text those blood lipid tests would have been done by the biochemistry lab at the hospitals where I worked, but you'd have to use the vaguer option "the rest of his/her laboratory test results were normal" as you cannot tell whether hamatology tests were done as well.
