Clarification request(s) and response
Janet Ratziu: 8:36pm Jun 25, 2008: Hi . I have no experience with this in Canada but in the US a health worker might note the site of the blood pressure creading, so I'm wondering if B:D couldn't stand for Bras: droit ? No idea for P:A though. Just an idea.
Helen Genevier: 8:39pm Jun 25, 2008: Janet's idea makes sense and if so could it be position assis???
Janet Ratziu: 8:45pm Jun 25, 2008: I think that's it Helen! Often a series of BPs may be done, i.e., sitting, standing, lying, so that makes absolute sense. Bravo!
sktrans: 10:03pm Jun 25, 2008: hello Helen, Janet and Liz.

Thanks to all of you. I think I am going with Janet and Helen's suggestion so please give an official answer so I can give you the points.

Arm: right Position: sitting/seated
Explanation:
This would be routine information in an emergency work-up so it seems logical. Best to write it out though, as abbreviations can be so subjective depending on the location.

Thanks to Helen for her cooperation and help!

p.s.

I know Janet suggested the former...

And I know

TA = tension artérielle

so my suggestion is very unlikely!

Will look for a few more minutes and then call it a day..
