French to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical: Cardiology
French term or phrase: infiltration dans la artère diagononale
The term appears in the report of a patient who underwent angioplasties.

Nous notons une infiltration estimée à 50% sur l'artère
L'artère interventriculaire est infiltrée sur ses trois segments sans sténose

I have seen infiltration as meaning "liquid" infiltration, but also with the meaning of "thickening". In here, I suppose it would suit the meaning of "thickening" of the walls.
Have you come across this term in this context before?
Thanks

the trouble is that there are different types of cells, (so I gather) that may be involved in "infiltration",,,,so perhaps it is best to keep it general

i.e. "infiltrate/infiltration"

please forget the comment about "occlusion".

Cheers!

"Infiltration " is used in English at the microscopic level. I don't think this is what your text is describing - it's an angiogram, no?

atherosclerotic involvement of the diagonal branch of the anterior descending artery

Explanation:
other answers are correct, but since the usual anatomic classification in the US is to designate this as a diagonal branch of the anterior descending artery, this removes and ambiguity.
