French to English translations [PRO] Medical - Medical: Cardiology | | French term or phrase: infiltration dans la artère diagononale | The term appears in the report of a patient who underwent angioplasties.
Nous notons une infiltration estimée à 50% sur l'artère
L'artère interventriculaire est infiltrée sur ses trois segments sans sténose
I have seen infiltration as meaning "liquid" infiltration, but also with the meaning of "thickening". In here, I suppose it would suit the meaning of "thickening" of the walls.
Have you come across this term in this context before?

the trouble is that there are different types of cells, (so I gather) that may be involved in "infiltration",,,,so perhaps it is best to keep it general
i.e. "infiltrate/infiltration"
please forget the comment about "occlusion".
Cheers!
