...les conséquences du syndrome frontal sur la participation à un sport collectif (difficultés à se situer dans l’espace ou à appréhender l’espace, désinhibition avec paroles, gestions, comportements déplacés, labilité de l’humeur, colères incontrôlées et imprévisibles pour des motifs anodins ou même en l’absence de motif, manque de motivation et d’initiative, défaut de stratégie et capacité d’adaptation, lenteur et fatigabilité).

ce n'est sûrement pas appréhender dans le sens d'arrêter quelqu'un ;-)
pour le moment, je n'ai rien trouvé de mieux que "dread of space" mais j'ai l'impression (assez vague, il faut le dire) qu'il existe une expression plus spécifique

"appréhender" ne concerne pas seulement la perception de l'espace mais aussi la capacité d'y déployer, à un niveau suffisant de précision, une activité pratique: se déplacer , accomplir des gestes divers ...

Hi,

I asked a doctor who knows about these things whether it could mean: Difficulty in perceiving three dimensional space (like with babies).

He said yes, that's it. Damage to the frontal lobes can do that.
