Les Plaques Chromo agissent en contact sans dispersion de la lumière émise par la coupole.

I know generally speaking what coupole means. But I suppose this is a lens (which presumably due to its shape is being called dome, cupola or coupole) here.

Its application: cosmetics, to get rid of stretch mark.

Cône de rayonnement
Le cône de rayonnement est défini, en stéradians **, comme celui qui englobe la moitié de son intensité lumineuse. Quand la partie rayonnante d'une diode électroluminescente est plane, elle procure un diagramme de rayonnement représenté par une sphère tangente à ce plan. L'angle de rayonnement est donc de 90°. Ce diagramme est dit "Lambertien". Il procure une lumière homogène dans le cercle projeté. Un autre diagramme est dit "Batwing". (Aile de chauve-souris) Il donne une lumière renforcée sur les bords du cercle projeté.
La plupart des diodes que l'on trouve dans le commerce sont noyées dans un plastique transparent cependant dans les dernières versions, la coupole est en verre, ce qui permet un regain de puissance. Ce matériau est plus performant et plus stable devant les problèmes de surchauffe. La forme extérieure va donner au faisceau de sortie un cône plus ou moins ouvert allant généralement de 20 à 130 degrés dans lequel le flux lumineux est homogène. Il n'est donc pas nécessaire d'ajouter une optique, dans la mesure ou l'on peut trouver une diode qui a l'angle souhaité. On peut aussi associer plusieurs diodes pour augmenter la puissance.
