This term is from a text on the health and safety of ventilation systems; I have found the terms 'biocollectors' and 'samplers' but am sure there is a better term.

Explanation:
I have already come across this term when translating a study into French. The main objective of this study was to determine the effectiveness of a HEPA-UV light-based device in the removal/inactivation of microbial aerosols from experimentally-contaminated air. :
ENG-US During this period, the vacuum pump for the sampler was turned off while its timer was still operational. FR-FR Pendant cette période, la pompe à vide du biocollecteur était éteinte alors que le minuteur fonctionnait encore.
EN-US In the first 10 minutes the sampler was on but without room air being drawn into it. FR-FR Pendant les 10 premières minutes, le biocollecteur était allumé mais sans aspiration de l'air de la pièce.
