French to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical: Health Care / Hospital Chart
French term or phrase: Staff pneumo
This is a chart listing a patient's treatment and specifying who saw him and what kind of visit, consultation, etc. it was. The first visit to a cancer research center is listed as 'staff pneumo'. The 'Resource' who saw the patient is listed as 'Staff'. I am assuming that 'Staff' is used here as in English. I have found 'staff pneumo' in numerous communications among medical practitioners, but it seems to refer to a kind of meeting. How would I list it in the patient's chart? Would it be 'pulmonary exam' or something. (Patient was found to have lung cancer.)

English translation:chest physician
Explanation:
staff pneumo[logue]

I have also seen "pulmonologist" in US usage, but the word's a bit of a mouthful.

You might perhaps say "chest consult" in the specific context you describe.
