Reference: Sensory rooms / Multi-sensory rooms

Reference information:
Sensory rooms provide an environment in which you can create events which focus on particular senses such as feel, vision, sound, smell and taste as well as the more abstract senses of wellbeing, space, time, togetherness and many more we could describe. This can happen in many ways: through special sound and visual effects, tactile experiences, vibration, use of aromas and music – in many combinations and variations.
...
Multi-sensory rooms are used by people of all ages and all abilities for relaxation, focused work, stimulation, control, massage, aromatherapy, reminiscence work, physiotherapy, communication and stress release.

Multi Sensory Room is an environment for which primary senses are stimulated by wonderful combinations of music, lighting effects, gentle vibrations, tactile sensations and aromas.
Multi Sensory Room is available, free of charge, to all people in Northumberland County.

I just realized that the references I've cited are unrelated to thalassotherapy. All the same, I hope they would provide some pointers in the right direction.

Good luck with the translation.

Reference: sensory issues (ASD; Sensory processing/integration disorder...)

Reference information:
I know these from studies in autism. They are areas dedicated to the senses (more than 5 by the way, movement/vestibular issues and body awareness/proprioception are generally admitted) and for folks with autism, they are generally geared up to providing low sensory stimulation. One of the features shared by many on the autism spectrum is atypical integration and processing of sensory information. It can be a source of anxiety and fear. Research into this area is ongoing :

« SESSAD "Vercors" / Association, Sésame Autisme Gestion et Perspectives. Ce SESSAD qui a ouvert récemment propose différentes activités spécifiques aux enfants accueillis : espace sensoriel, activités culturelles et de loisirs et activités physiques et sportives. Financement du matériel nécessaire à ces différentes activités. »

There is also something called “sensory integration/processing disorder” which can stand alone without other conditions :

Parents of children with sensory issues and who have been lucky enough to have them identified as such get quite good at developing strategies to alleviate, calm and avoid certain situations : see this booklet, page 5 and further :
