Hi all,
I am translating a medical record for a patient in France who had suffered serious spinal injuries. Unfortunately this is an isolated phrase with no context. In the results of his tests I find:

Perhaps sth. like blood___ count and peripheral samples?

I am really stuck!
Can anyone help? I have tried medical Fr<->Eng dictionaries with no luck

After (before?) dictionary searches and searhces on ProZ (with quality check for references etc)...

First a Google search with the term in invertied commas and the word "définition". Goole will display a host of hits with the term and a definition. The tricky bit is the reliability of the source. ALso, there are some excellent definitions about without the word "definition" in there.

Next if it comes up with a one-worder, a synonym, check with dictionaries for a one word English definition and then check back if the English temr on a Google search gives you reliable sources with the same explanation.

Ideally, you skip the dictionary bit and compare original source professional documents.
