Support service in a hospital or healthcare facility which is not direct patient care delivery. (for example - laundry, portage, catering, cleaning, stores).
The hospital is managed in functional Care Groups - Emergencies (Medicine, Elderly Medicine and A&E), Perioperative (General and Orthopaedic surgery, Dental/Orthodontics, Ophthalmology, Anaesthetics and theatre services), Women and Children (Maternity, Gynaecology and Paediatrics), Clinical Support (Radiology, Pathology, Therapies, Pharmacy and Rehabilitation). Each of these has an Associate Medical Director, as does the Clinical Governance Care Group (Audit, Risk Management and Education).
As always, technique in French covers a multitude of sins.
