French to English translations [PRO] Medical - Medical: Health Care / patient reports MRI scan | | French term or phrase: auto-mastico-reflexe | This is also in the MRI report, but in the 'Indications' section:
'Ataxie cerebelleuse du membre superieur droit, instabilite a la marche, dissociation de l'auto-mastico-reflexe du voile'
What I have got so far is 'autonomic masseter reflex of the velum', but I'm not sure if this makes sense or not. |

| | involuntary chewing reflex | Explanation: sounds like dissociation (lack of coordination) between the chewing reflex, which is involuntary, and the reflex movement of the soft palate.

I would perhaps translate this as "lack or coordination between chewing and swallowing reflexes".

No, the "reflexe du voile" is the swallowing reflex IMO. |

Asker: Thank you, SJLD. Would you put 'of the velum' after that, then?
