folding back a flap

Explanation:
investigate "flap" in surgical techniques. For example, one breast reconstruction w/o silicone implants technique is the "transverse rectus abdominis musculocutaneous (TRAM) flap," in which "a transverse ellipse of skin and fat is raised from the lower abodmen...The flap is transposed through a tunnel to the breast site, where it is folded, trimmed and de-epithelialized...to form a breast mound" (Farquharson's Textbook of Operative Surgery. Hope this helps!
