French to English translations [PRO] Medical: Instruments / Podiatry products | | French term or phrase: réalisation de buttée | Good afternoon,
I am proofreading a large project I've translated on various products: in this case it deals with Podiatry products.
"Silicone polyaddition bi-composant se présentant sous forme de deux pâtes de consistance identique, l'une rose, l'autre blanche, qui, mélangées entre elles, permettent d'obtenir un produit idéal pour la réalisation d'orthoplastie en charge mais également pour recharger des orthoplasties (réalisation de buttée) grâce à son fort pouvoir adhérent ."
I am just stuck on the term 'buttée in this context.
[US English.
Thanks for all your help.
Best regards,
Richie |

I don't think I have found the correct answer yet, FWIW. In fact this could be a spelling mistake too:)

anyway I think I have provided enough references for you to find exactly what you need.
Comparing the French picture with the English picture, it looks distinctly like a splint to me. |
