This comes from marketing material for disposable shower and tap filter disinfection systems designed for use in hospitals. Here it is describing the method used for monitoring when the filter needs changing...not sure if "plaquette" is a plate here...doesn't sound quite right.
• Un système ingénieux de plaquette placé à l’extérieur permet sans difficulté de connaître la date précise de changement (la plaquette change de couleur).
