This sentence is confusing me : “environnement logiciel de calcul de différents paramètres 2D de texture de niveaux de gris »

L’analyse est limitée aux sites périphériques. Le système BMA est piloté par une station informatique incluant notamment un environnement logiciel de calcul de différents paramètres 2D de texture de niveaux de gris.

My attempt :
The BMA system is driven by a computer station notably including software environment for calculating the different 2D parameters of grey level texture.

You can use "software environment" or "software platform" if you need a literal translation (for a patent), but in plain English, you have a computer (workstation) with software to calculate...
