French term or phrase: outil de reprise de masse

Durant l'étalonnage du module RFP avec le nouvel outil de reprise de masse, la position du module évolue pour favoriser le passage du calibre (cf note d'info n°XXXX).

I am struggling to translate this section of the phrase. It is to do with the calibration software within the machine concerning a new memory update. 'Mass recovery tool' would make sense but calibration also requires grounding and I have found the alternative translation of 'grounding connection'.

If anyone has experience of this and can help that would be great.
