No need to compromise; we are dealing with "government cost-cutting measures" as stated in the source text and this is the explicit term used by SPILF, HAS, DGS, InVS in a document soon to be published called "Saving antibiotics".

The text I am handling is about marketing prescription drugs in a context of government health-spending cutbacks. Perhaps we could compromise and put "(for drug prescription)"?
"for drug prescription" is not part of the source term "référentiel de bon usage" which is a general term translated by "good practice guidelines". It can apply to any aspect of medical management.

Does "schedule of approved indications" seem plausible?

In any case "good practice" is the standard translation of "bon usage".
