French to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical: Pharmaceuticals / A drug trial
French term or phrase: échappements aux traitements
Enfin, aucun échappement aux traitements n'a été constaté à la fin des 12 semaines d'essai.

A similar expression appears in the following phrase:

Aucun échappement n'est apparu en cours des 12 semaines de traitement.

I'm not sure whether it means a) no one left the trial (had to stop taking the treatment), b) no one found that the treatment had zero effect, or c) some other meaning altogether.

I think the answer is b), and that this is called treatment failure, as per http://www.proz.com/kudoz/french_to_english/medical_general/...

However, I am not 100% sure that this is necessarily the same thing

treatment failures
Explanation:
As discussed previously, as you noted in the question, in general the translation would be "treatment failures".
HOWEVER, only a reading of the entire document can confirm (or invalidate) the meaning.
Does the info in the document support this interpretation ?

In summary, unless there is more info that we have not been given here, the meaning is "treatment failure", i.e. the treatment did not have the desired effect. It does not imply that subjects left the study for whatever reason.
Does that help ?

Asker: Thanks! That does clarify things. The other one I just posted might be a bit more of a challenge :)
