French to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Medical: Pharmaceuticals / pharmaceutical packaging
French term or phrase: plaquette
This occurs in SOPs.

On one page of the document about controls to be performed:
- "plaquette" is mentioned as secondary packaging
Vérification de nombre de plaquettes
- "blister" is mentioned as primary packaing and I take it to mean "blister strip"
Vérification visuelles de l'aspect des blisters (formage, découpe, scellage)

An additional clue is provided elsewhere where the following check is given
Changer les caractères de gauffrage de plaquettes.

I hesitate to use "blister pack" (to refer to the result of sealing the two strips) because this would seem to be primary packaging (given that part of it is in contact with the medicine)

pouch

Explanation:
trying to visualize this: could it be a pouch?
plaquette also could refer to a prospectus of sorts,
so maybe insert could cover all of that, too

insert

Explanation:
Hi. Aren't plaquettes usually the insert? A paper leaflet of some sort? I wouldn't usually call that secondary packaging, but it's certainly part of the packaging components so I suppose it fits. That fits gaufrage too (one f, meaning embossing?)

Maybe it's a promotional brochure then?

Notes to answerer
Asker: "Notice" is used in my text for the package insert. Theoretically, it could refer to another type of informational material but I couldn't think what...
