I once had to translate "injection traçante rétrograde" for dermal fillers and the editor suggested "retrograde technique".

"With this product, you are going to have a tunneling technique, so you are going to put the needle in, and you are going to do a retrograde injection [...] The reason is that when you put the needle in, it makes a tunnel, a track. So as you inject when you come out, you fill that tunnel with this viscous fluid"

It could well be called

linear threading injection technique

The injection technique and the administered quantity may vary. The
linear threading technique can be used to carefully lift up the skin, but
some physicians prefer the micropuncture technique or a combination
of the two. During injection it is recommended that the eye of the
needle should face upwards. Inject RESTYLANE Vital while pulling the
needle slowly backwards.Injection should stop just before the needle
is pulled out from the skin to prevent material from leaking out from
the injection site.Valid for both techniques are that very small amounts,
micro-deposits, should be injected at each site.Treated areas should
be gently massaged immediately after the injection. Please consult

varier. On peut pratiquer une injection linéaire rétro-traçante pour
soulever délicatement la peau,mais certains praticiens préfèrent recourir à
la méthode de la multiponcture ou à une association des deux techniques.
Pendant l’injection, il est conseillé d’orienter le biseau de l’aiguille vers
le haut. Injecter RESTYLANE Vital en reculant doucement l’aiguille. Il
faut interrompre l’injection immédiatement avant que l’aiguille n’émerge
du point d’entrée afin d’éviter tout écoulement de substance du point
d’injection. Quelle que soit la technique employée, uniquement de très
petites quantités ou micro-dépôts de la substance doivent être injectées
sur chaque site. Masser doucement les zones traitées immédiatement

I think the "retrograde" that appears on a lot of sites is a poor translation into English, and is redundant.
